Traveling? Silver. Feeling sick? Silver. Skin irritation or open cut? Silver.
Silver is a great way to support your health and address wounds and cuts. It is extremely antimicrobial and was historically used for treating war wounds during our earliest wars.
"In the 1930s, silver was the preferred choice of physicians for empowering the immune system and supporting the body's innate healing process. However, with the advent of antibiotics, the popularity of silver declined."
There is a time and place for antibiotic usage but it's been agreed upon that antibiotics are over prescribed and often used when not needed. For example, I use hydrosol silver first for small cuts instead of neosporin (an antibiotic cream). In addition, oral antibiotics are sometimes inappropriately prescribed- like for colds. Antibiotics kill bacteria, not virus, which is why it is prescribed for Strep throat but not a common cold. Unfortunately they are still prescribed and misused for inappropriate ailments which is contributing to a larger and far more dangerous issue: antibiotic resistance.
Silver is a natural element. It can be found in whole grains, edible and medicinal mushrooms, mammalian milk, spring water, sea water and tap water. Researcher F. Gallyas proved that silver is an essential trace element for the nervous system, as there are receptor sites for silver in myelin neural tissue." (https://www.natural-immunogenics.com/silver-101#2)
I only use hydrosol silver however there are many different types of silver supplements such as colloidal, ionic and hydrosol. Click here to view a chart distinguishing the categories.
Sovereign Silver is the only brand I use or recommend.
-Scrapes, cuts, fungal patches and dry skin
-Periodontal disease, bleeding gums, bad breath
-Immune support prevention of acute contagious colds
-Eye infections or irritations
I personally use this silver daily in a microdose first thing when I wake up in a cup of water for immune support. It can also be used in your pets water bowl in a microdose (depending on the size, about 1-2 drops in an entire ceramic- not metal- bowl for your cat). Silver is something I have in my medicine cabinet and use as both acute aid and preventative support.
