I love a holiday, all holidays- any reason to celebrate, I'm in. But Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday. It's about great food and great people, it's about taking some time to really, truly be grateful for the many blessings we have in our lives. It's just lovely. This year we're doing a potluck style thanksgiving and I'm so excited to get cooking! Here you'll find some of my absolute favorite holiday dishes (and a few I've been dying to try for a while) that you can make for your family this year! A little Thanksgiving inspiration, if you will.

My favorite dessert I do for Thanksgiving is this outstanding fruit salad. I know, I know- don't shoot me now! Trust me, this fruit salad is to die for. No one can ever quite guess what makes it so good, but I'll share it with you in the spirit of the holidays. After such a heavy meal everyone is always so refreshed by this salad, and it's really quite simple too. Combine to your liking the following fruits: chopped apples and pears, add pomegranate seeds, winter melon, and seasonal berries. Toss in a large handful of fresh mint that has been cut into small pieces. Now- drizzle with a couple tablespoons of white peach balsamic vinegar (this you can find online, or at any specialty olive oil/vinegar shop), give it a good toss to incorporate everything and wah-la! Try it, you can thank me later. For those of you who are still not convinced, here are some more traditional desserts:
